At Hervey Bay State High School, we offer a wide range of quality curriculum programs.

Students have the opportunity to tailor a learning program to their own individual needs. Various students learning needs are catered for through extension programs and through our Special Education Unit that has a focus on inclusion in mainstream classes.

Students at Hervey Bay High have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as the School Musical, Relay for Life, China Trip, Vanuatu Trip and excursions.

Hervey Bay High currently offers a wide range of academic Authority, Authority Registered and VET (vocational) subjects. Our curriculum framework focuses on quality education and student support through academic, social, athletic and artistic experiences. This framework blends the principles of middle schooling in Years 8 and 9, with a senior transition period in year 10 to provide the platform for years 11 and 12.
